Learn how to boost the health of your Uterus

In this post I am introducing a video by Roni Edlund, one of the teachers at the Lotus Nei Gong International, the school of internal and martial arts that I train with. It provides useful information and exercises meant to nourish and support the lower abdomen that benefit the health of the Uterus, either during the menstrual cycle and in menopause.

A crucial aspect highlighted here is that a healthy cycle should not be painful. Too many assume that pain is a natural component, misled by the fact that painful menstruation is a very common condition along with painful ovulation and tense breasts. None of these symptoms would manifest if the Qi and Blood’s flow is constantly smooth and promoted by enough warmth in the body. Such smoothness is crucial during menopause too and it has beneficial effects particularly on the hot flushes and mood swings, including anxiety and insomnia.

There are many natural ways to help you improving the quality of the menstrual cycle and menopause, from diet to lifestyle and exercise you have many options to start working with. In my personal view, such tools are more efficient if supported by the combination of the following aspects:

  • the awareness springing from adequate information – please, please educate yourself!
  • the choice of listening and connecting to your body – we were not taught so!
  • the pleasure in being committed and dedicated – take things easy and don’t become obsessed with do’s and don’ts!
