Breathing, sitting practice and meditation

Here is an interesting collection of articles and podcasts from the Scholar Sage, the web magazine of Lotus Nei Gong International. This is the school I have been following since 2015 for my own personal practice and my studies in Chinese Medicine.

Considering the times we are living, I find these sources quite inspiring and useful for those interested in internal arts that think that breathing and sitting practices can help them navigating through the current situation.

More generally though, this material is pretty useful for any level of practitioners of internal arts and provide a great amount of information of incomparable depth and clarity. Hope you will enjoy it as well as I did!

  1. Allowing the breath to centre us by Roni Edlund.
  2. The eight touches by Damo Mitchell.
  3. Five qualities of breath by Damo Mitchell.
  4. Season 2.1 – Going stir crazy! by Damo Mitchell. A very interesting insight on how the mind works, with illuminating analogies between the meditation process and the current isolation due to cover-19.
  5. Building immunity with Qigong by Damo Mitchell. I already posted this video in the ‘Covid-19 resources’ post some time ago, but I think it is still interesting here, as an exercise to consolidate the Lungs and Kidneys relationship that ultimately affects the breathing. If you want to go straight to the exercise, start the video from around minute 31:07.
